Kalymnos is a beautiful Greek island of the Dodecanese, located close to the Turkish coast. Due to the island’s distance from Athens, the best way to reach Kalymnos is by flight to Kalymnos from the Greek mainland. Due to its location, it’s perfect for island hopping to the nearby islands of Kos, Leros, and Patmos.

第4個島 - Kalymnos 卡林諾斯島

The island stands out for its amazing rocking landscape that has made Kalymnos a top climbing destination! Climbing in Kalymnos is such a popular activity that a climbing festival takes place on the island every year.

It also has a long sponge making tradition.

One of the must things to do in Kalymnos is a trip to the neighboring island of Telendos. Telendos is a remote tiny island that boasts an incredible natural landscape. There, you’ll find many naturist beaches, secluded coves, and traditional settlements- the perfect place to relax away from the bright lights!

This small island was separated from Kalymnos due to an earthquake in 535 A.D. Telendos has a single settlement with 50 inhabitants and a nice landscape to stroll around. It is connected to Kalymnos by boat from Myrties.

Church of Saviour Christ | This fine church in Pothia has wonderful frescoes and icons inside, made by local artists. The iconostasis is the work of a famous artist from Tinos, Giannoulis Chalepas.

Chryssocheria Castle | This castle was built by the Knights of Saint John and it is also called the Citadel of the Knights. A little chapel to Panagia Chrysochera is found in the castle, which is located on a hill above Pothia.
