AYIOI ANARGYROI CHAPEL

One of the few buildings in Cape Greko National Park is the small chapel dedicated to Agioi Anargyroi. Below this small white chapel is a hermit’s cave which is mentioned in local legend. The chapel is build on a rocky small cliff overlooking the sea and the turcoise waters of the picturesque Cape Greco situated close by.

Cape Greco is a headland in the southeastern part of the island of Cyprus. It is at the southern end of Famagusta Bay and forms part of Ayia Napa Municipality.

It lies between the towns of Ayia Napa and Protaras. It is visited by tourists for its natural environment, and is a protected nature park.

According to local legend it is also the home of the 'Ayia Napa sea monster'.

SEA CAVES

There are many caves along the coastline from Agia Napa to Cape Greko National Park. Many people come here to snorkel and the locals come here before the crack of dawn to fish. The Palace caves and the Smugglers caves are deep passages in to the cliffs which are only accessible from the sea. Some extend as deep as 240 feet in to the rock. During calm seas and at low tide it is possible to swim and even walk in to most of them.

Nissi Beach is a well-known beach in the resort of Ayia Napa, Cyprus. The beach stretches for 500 metres and the water is clean enough for the beach to have been awarded blue flag designation.

The uninhabited islet can be easily reached on foot through the shallow waters and its location provides a good shelter for the rest of the beach. The islet is covered with low-level local vegetation.
 

NISSI BEACH

Nissi beach is probably the most popular beach in the whole of Cyprus. It consists of 2 connecting beaches one large one (very busy) and a smaller one (more secluded). Nissi beach is famed for its beautiful golden sand and clean crystal clear waters.

Ayia Napa's new sculpture park was inaugurated in 2014 with the aim of creating a completely new tourist experience. The open air sculpture museum features both large and small works of art created by more than 20 sculptors from around the world.

Located at the eastern edge of Ayia Napa the sculpture park covers an area of 20,000 sq.m. The rocky landscape slopes down to the sea and provides a serene and peaceful backdrop to this visually exciting display of modern artwork. 

The park continues to grow with more works being added each winter by talented international artists.
 

Ayia Napa Sculpture Park

The Sculpture Park is an area of 20.000 square metres found on the crossroad of Cavo Greco Avenue and Kryou Nerou. It is an expanse of unbelievable natural beauty and breathtaking panoramic view. It’s a park gem, the first of its kind which acts as an oasis of culture, not only for Ayia Napa, but also for the whole free area of Famagusta district. The park is adorned with sculptures which have been created by a number of worldwide known artists who participate in the Sculpture Symposium organized every year by the Municipality of Ayia Napa.

The Lover Bridge is in Cape Greco between the Blue Lagoon and the Agioi Anargyroi Chapel. This natural stone arch stretches across a small closed bay. The bridge cordoned off with a fence because there is a risk of it collapsing.

The small harbour houses both tour boats and fishing boats. The bay is too small for large ships to dock here. It is one of the most popular spots for diving and fishing. You can find fresh seafood on sale in the harbour and inexpensive coastal sea tours that set off from here. Nearby there is a cape where you can jump into the sea. The Kamara Tou Koraka love bridge is accessible by bus.

LOVE BRIDGE (MONACHUS MONACHUS ARCH)

Love Bridge is a rocky arch bridge of natural origin, with one edge stretching into the crystal clear, turquoise and emerald sea from an elevated coastal plateau. Bridge has formed naturally as a result of natural processes, without human intervention. It is believed that if you kiss while standing in the middle of the bridge arch and make a wish, it will surely come true.

The town's main landmark is the storied, Venetian-era Ayia Napa Monastery, which stands in the central square of Plateia Seferi, surrounded by bars and clubs. Ayia Napa was a small fishing village which in 1994 was declared as a Municipality and it is today one of the best tourist destinations worldwide, very well known as a cosmopolitan resort.

As the Greek Nobel Prize Poet George Seferis wrote in one of his poems ‘’Ayia Napa, where all the colours of the rainbow blend into a harmonious whole, different languages resound everywhere, where the hearts beat as one and offer a warm welcome’’.
